Board Members

The 2017-2018 PTC board is comprised of 3 Vice Presidents sharing the roles and responsibilities of running this excellent organization. They are joined by a secretary and a treasurer to complete the Executive Board.

  • Jennifer H

    Vice President of Events

Jennifer is returning for her 4th year as one of the PTC’s Vice Presidents! As the VP of Events, Jennifer makes sure that every PTC event is successful, and fun for all of the families at Sunset Ranch. While she's involved in all PTC events, she is also the co-chair of our spring fundraiser. If you want to throw a party, or put on a top notch event, Jennifer is the one you want! We're lucky to have her talents!

  • Kelly M

    Vice President of Operations

As a parent and resident in our great community, I am passionate about being involved with our kids. During the last several years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to be a room parent for both of my boys, have volunteered with many PTC events, and was the team chairperson for the Amazing Race spring fundraiser. I have now taken on a new adventure as the VP of Operations for the Sunset Ranch PTC. Prior to becoming a full time stay-at-home Mom, my work experience was in project management, so I believe this new role will be a great fit for me. I’ve made many special friendships being involved with such a wonderful school. I look forward to many more years of fun and fulfillment, investing in more friendships, and helping to enrich our community.

  • Nicole S

    Vice President of Communications

It’s my pleasure to continue in the role of Communications for my 5th year! I take pride in making sure that if something is happening at Sunset Ranch, everyone knows about it! I enjoy managing the PTC’s social media and app, publications and fliers, and much more. While I’m closely involved in every PTC event, I’m also happy to be the event co-chair of our spring fundraiser, The Amazing Race. I truly enjoy all that I do for the PTC and every family at Sunset Ranch. As a former 6th grade teacher, it’s a great way to stay connected to my teaching roots while working to make our school incredible for everyone. The depth of the friendships I’ve made as a result of being involved in the PTC are immeasurable. Finally, I love that my 2 boys, 4th grade and 1st grade, are learning firsthand how important volunteerism is, and how much of an impact it can have for the entire school and community.

  • Catherine C

Our family has been at Sunset Ranch since the 2nd year it was open. I assisted the Carnival Chairperson our first 2 years and then became the Carnival Chair Person for 2 years after that. I am now serving my second year as Treasurer. We have two daughters who are 26 and 22 years old and our son who will be a 6th grader this next year. Although my husband and I both work full time, we both feel it is important to be engaged in our sons’ activities and volunteer where we can. As a family, we participate in Soccer, Baseball and Boy Scouts. My professional background is in Accounting and Inventory Management. I also have experience with software implementations, which has come in handy in getting our PTC QuickBooks software updated this past year. It has been exciting to watch our school grow, establish traditions and achieve goals that PTC has been able to provide support for our teachers and kids. I believe we can make a difference, if we all do little. I look forward to serving as Treasurer in our final year at Sunset Ranch.

  • Diana H

Hi, I'm Diana Houck. I have lived in Whitney Ranch since 2005 with my husband and three children. Well, technically our youngest was born 10 days after we moved in. All three of our children attended Sunset Ranch its inaugural year. One in preschool, another in kindergarten and my oldest in 1st grade. I vividly remember calling my husband that first day of school crying as I dropped them all off and walked home. They were tears of thankfulness knowing what an amazing learning opportunity they would all have at their “new” school. As the years went on I realized how fortunate we are to belong to such a wonderful school with the best teachers any parent could ask for. I also recognized the tremendous work of our PTC. Our children and teachers benefit greatly from the monies raised by the tireless effort of the PTC board. So when I was asked to serve as secretary, I knew it was the right thing to do. I had to give back to the school and PTC that has given our children an invaluable education. That education includes the extra bonus of a science lab with an overqualified teacher and an opportunity to be exposed to a second language with another overqualified teacher and MANY MANY other programs.
